Series Ⅱ. On how to arrange shipment
This article is use to explain to those who are first time buying cabinet from China or those who have few experience on cabinets shipping. If you are not belong to them, then you can read it selectively.
First, whole set kitchen cabinets can hardly ship by air. First it cost much. Kitchen cabinets with countertop are heavy. Second, pantry in kitchen are more than 2m or sometimes countertop more than 2m. They are in big size can ship by air.
Second, normally we ship kitchen cabinets by sea. Shipping by sea, there are 2 way, LCL and FCL.
LCL means Less than Container Load. As the goods normally load in containers by sea shipping. There are 3 type container we normally use, 20GP, 40GP and 40HQ. And each type container are in different size with different CBM.
Like 1 x 20GP can load around 24 CBM goods, 1 x 40GP around 50CBM and 1 x 40HQ around 60CBM. Sometime, if customer do not have full container goods, they can ship by LCL. By LCL, you goods will send to port warehouse to wait and ship with other goods to same destionation port.
FCL means Full Container Load. It means all you goods ship by containers and this containers only load your goods.
And this is the best way to ship kitchen cabinets. You will know why from below.
1 set kitchen cabinets are complicate as it does not only include cabinets, but also countertop, accessory like sink, faucet, handle and so on. So you can see there are much items for 1 whole set kitchen cabinets. And different items are sometimes in different packing size and material. Base on this, you can see there are many packages even you just buy one set kitchen cabinets.
Besides, some items like countertop need to be more careful when loading it. As we are vertical packing with wooden case. If ship by FCL, the container will load in our factory and we know how to well load the goods. While LCL, you just send goods to warehouse, they upload and pile in warehouse. Than after some time, they will load in container with other goods you even do not know. Countertop are easy to be damaged during LCL shipping.
So please ship the cabinets by full container when you decide by cabinets. If you kitchen cabinets can not fully fill the container, you can also consider to add wardrobe or other home furniture from us. Or discuss with us to load your other goods in cabinets container.
